The 'International Council' was founded as a Not-for-Profit-Association at the 1st of September 2008 in Solothurn, Switzerland. As a small round with the name 'International Council for Practice-Based Research and Sustainability' we startet.

2010 we changed the name for a more broader approach of the International Council to 'International Council for Leadership | Governance | Entrepreneurship | Management'.

2015 we made some design revisions of the ICLGEM logo and changed our web presence from black to dark blue.

Founding President is Urs Hauenstein, the spiritual leader and motor of the idea. After some first rounds a powerful international leadership network started.

Today we have a first class network of Prime-Ministers, Ministers, Presidents, Chairmen, CEO's and other leaders of international institutions and organisations, groups and companies. The "sustainable" goal and the field of practice-based research is for us as well important as the field of competencies and qualifications. Everything who is needed for you as leader when you want to be successful with your organisation!

2016 we are overworking our organizational structure with clear internationalisation activities.

The International Council ICLGEM is financed by Sponsors, Donations, Membership fees, Project fees, fees for services (Masterclasses, Keynotes, Research work, Expertise, etc.).
